DailyGoal FAQ

Nutrition, workouts, and insights in one clear system.

Straight answers about targets, food logging, workouts, Apple Health, plans, privacy, and support.

Overview

What is DailyGoal?

DailyGoal is a fitness system for nutrition, workouts, and insights. It keeps targets, food logging, workouts, body metrics, daily goals, Apple Health, and trend feedback together so the plan is easier to read.

Who is DailyGoal for?

DailyGoal is for people who want clear targets, fast logging, and useful feedback across nutrition, workouts, body metrics, and daily goals. It fits best if you want structure without hype or scattered tools.

Why use DailyGoal instead of separate apps?

Separate apps split nutrition, workouts, body metrics, and feedback across different places. DailyGoal keeps the pieces close: set targets, log food and training, bring in Apple Health data, and use trends to decide what to adjust.

When is DailyGoal not the right fit?

DailyGoal is not the right fit if you want coaching, a social fitness community, prescribed meal plans, quick fixes, or deep micronutrient analysis. It is built for people who want to run their own fitness system with clear targets, fast logging, and useful feedback.

Where can I use DailyGoal?

DailyGoal is available on iOS and on the web. Android is planned, but it is not available yet.

Tracking & Integrations

What can I track in DailyGoal?

You can track nutrition, workouts, weight, body fat, steps, hydration, streaks, and custom daily goals. Search, barcode scan, saved meals, favorites, recents, workout logs, Apple Health sync, and progress charts keep daily updates quick.

Can I set goals beyond nutrition and workouts?

Yes, with DailyGoal Pro. Custom goals can be yes-or-no or numeric, so you can track habits, hydration, steps, or other daily targets alongside nutrition and workouts. Numeric goals can update automatically when they are tied to built-in metrics.

Where does the food data come from?

DailyGoal uses USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, and a curated set of common foods. You can also create custom foods when you want exact label data or something that is not already in the database.

Can I create custom foods and recipes?

Yes. You can create custom foods from label data, save favorites, and build saved meals by combining multiple foods. When you log them later, you can adjust servings instead of rebuilding the meal from scratch.

Does DailyGoal work with Apple Health?

Yes. On iOS, DailyGoal can use Apple Health data to prefill body stats during setup. After setup, the ongoing sync imports steps and writes weight, body fat, and completed workouts back to Apple Health.

Plans & Billing

What's included in Free vs Pro?

Free gives you the daily basics: nutrition tracking, barcode scan, daily goals, Apple Health sync, weight and body-fat tracking, and starter custom foods and meals. Pro adds workout tracking, longer chart windows, deeper progress views, unlimited custom foods, unlimited saved meals, custom goals, body-fat projection tools, and more AI-assisted capture.

Where can I see current plans and prices?

See the pricing page for current plans, trials, and prices.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed on iOS, manage your subscription in Apple Subscriptions. If you subscribed on the web, use the customer portal linked in your purchase email.

Privacy & Support

Is my data private?

Yes. DailyGoal does not sell your personal data or run ads. You can delete your account from settings. For full details, read the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

Open the DailyGoal app, go to Profile, then Account, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your DailyGoal account data. If you cannot access the app, email admin@dailygoal.fit from the email address linked to your account. More details are at https://www.dailygoal.fit/account-deletion.

How do I contact support?

Email admin@dailygoal.fit. For plan, billing, and cancellation details, see the pricing and refunds pages.

API & AI agents

Does DailyGoal have an API?

Yes. The DailyGoal API lets scripts, dashboards, and AI agents read and change your own DailyGoal data. It has a REST API with an OpenAPI spec and a remote MCP server for AI agents. It needs a paid plan or a free trial. Start with the developer docs at https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers.

Can I connect AI agents to DailyGoal?

Yes. An AI agent that lets you add an MCP server with an Authorization header can connect with your API token. It can then log a meal from a sentence, look up a past weigh-in, or change a goal. Tools that change or delete data are labeled, so your agent can ask you first. Apps that connect by signing you in are not supported yet. Setup steps are in the MCP quickstart at https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/quickstart.

Which plans include the API?

Every paid plan includes the API, including monthly, yearly, and lifetime Pro. It also works during a free trial. It is not available on Free. Details are at https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/authentication#paid-access.

How do I create or revoke an API token?

In the app, open Profile, then Preferences. On the web, open your profile. Create the token there and copy it straight away, because DailyGoal shows it only once. Each account has one token. Regenerate it to replace it, or revoke it to stop all access that uses it. Signing out everywhere, resetting your password, or deleting your account also revokes it. Details are at https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/authentication#api-token.

What can the API read and change?

It can read, add, update, and delete your weight, body fat, steps, food entries, custom foods, workouts, and goals. It can also search foods and exercises, log a saved meal, and record daily goal progress. Changes behave like the same action in the app, so streaks, badges, and daily goal progress update the same way. It only reaches your own account. Every operation is listed at https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers.

Are there API rate limits?

Yes. Limits apply per account and cover every token on it. Reads allow 120 requests per minute with bursts of 60. Writes allow 30 per minute with bursts of 15, up to 1,000 a day. Over the limit, the API returns a rate_limited error that says how many seconds to wait. See https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/authentication#rate-limits.

What happens to API access if my subscription ends?

Your token pauses. It is not deleted. Requests return a subscription_required error with a link to resubscribe, and you can still see and revoke the token in settings. When you resubscribe, the same token works again with nothing to reconnect. See https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/authentication#paid-access.

Is my API token safe to share?

No. Treat it like a password. Anyone who has it can read and change your DailyGoal data until you revoke it. Paste it only into programs you trust, keep it out of shared code, and never post it in a chat or screenshot. DailyGoal stores only a hash, so it cannot show you the token again. If it leaks, regenerate it in settings, which stops the old token at once. See https://www.dailygoal.fit/developers/authentication#api-token.
